Milnes Chevrolet in Lapeer County, MI is partnering with Capuchin Services Center to help give homeless individuals an essential, but often overlooked, element of life. With your help, we will be filling beds of Silverados with donations of everyday items such as, shower supplies and household staples. Donations will directly benefit the Capuchin Services Center's Shower Program, which provides those less fortunate with shower access and freshly laundered clothing. Its Earthworks Urban Farm harvests six tons of produce from a two and a half acre organic farm, and educates the community in regards to sustainable relationships between human beings and the earth. The Soup Kitchen's On the Rise Bakery assists individuals "re-entering" society after bouts of incarceration or substance abuse. In addition, the Capuchin Soup Kitchen's Jefferson House, a twelve bed residential treatment facility, assists indigent males seeking to reclaim their lives from addiction.
We'd like to introduce our new Service Manager, Dave Lucas. Dave is local and knows our customer base and understands their concerns. He actually worked in our Ford store. He grew up in Clarkston and currently lives in Davison with his wife and 5 girls. Two of whom graduated from Davison, where the next 3 still attend. When Dave isn't at work he likes to relax on walks with his wife and 2 pug dogs. He brings over 21 years of service experience to the Milnes Chevy team and we are very happy to have him on our team!

Easy Egg Roll in a Bowl SERVES 4 INGREDIENTS 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil 1 pound ground pork, turkey, or chicken 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt Freshly ground black pepper 1/3 cup mayonnaise 1 to 2 teaspoons Sriracha or Whole30 compliant hot sauce, such as Tabasco, Cholula, or Redhot 4 scallions, thinly sliced (about 1/3 cup) 3 cloves garlic, minced 14 to 16 ounces cruciferous slaw mix (such as Trader Joe's Cruciferous Crunch) 2 tablespoons coconut aminos INSTRUCTIONS Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium-high until shimmering. Add the ground meat and season with the salt and pepper. Cook, breaking up the meat into small pieces with a wooden spoon, until cooked through, about 6 minutes. Meanwhile, stir the mayonnaise and 1 teaspoon of the hot sauce together in a small bowl. Taste and add more hot sauce as needed; set aside. Add the scallions and garlic to the frying pan and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the slaw mix and coconut aminos and cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are crisp-tender, about 3 minutes. Serve the stir-fry in bowls drizzled with the spicy mayonnaise. RECIPE NOTES Storage: Leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
